Emberkin Saga

Emberkin Saga surprised us. On the surface it's a standard four-hero turn-based RPG, but the writing carries it. Characters remember your earlier choices, and a couple of side quests genuinely branch based on who you recruited.

Combat is classic but tight. Elemental weaknesses matter, positioning matters, and boss fights force you to actually swap your party composition instead of steamrolling. Auto-battle exists for the trash fights, which we appreciated.

The mobile controls are clean and everything fits comfortably in portrait mode. If you like a story you can dip into for twenty minutes at a time, this is an easy recommend.
